The Signal was formed in 1984 to offer a low-cost handset insurance program specifically targeted to cellular equipment that would help wireless carriers provide superior customer service, reduce churn and improve profitability. In 2002, Signal Holdings, a privately held company, was formed in conjunction with an investment by MMC Capital, Inc., a global private equity firm. In 2005, the MMC Capital investment was spun off into Stonepoint Capital. |

Starting as a single customer service and handset administration center in 1984, Signal Holdings has grown to five full-service call centers and two logistics and repair facilities.
