The Signal was formed in 1984 to offer a low-cost handset insurance program specifically targeted to cellular equipment that would help wireless carriers provide superior customer service, reduce churn and improve profitability. In 2002, Signal Holdings, a privately held company, was formed in conjunction with an investment by MMC Capital, Inc., a global private equity firm. In 2005, the MMC Capital investment was spun off into Stonepoint Capital.
Starting as a single customer service and handset administration center in 1984, Signal Holdings has grown to five full-service call centers and two logistics and repair facilities. Today, Signal Holdings is a limited liability corporation with seven operating entities: The Signal, LP; Signal Service Solutions, LLC; CWork Solutions, LP; Signal Northwest, LP; CWork Wireless, LP; Service Contract Solutions NA, LLC; Telecom Re Ltd.
Throughout its history, Signal Holdings has maintained a rigorous commitment to quality customer service, continuous product improvement and integrity in all its business relationships.
